Scottish New Year (“Hogmonay”) is also not to be missed! From late November until early January, Princes Street Gardens are transformed into a magical Christmas Market, and there is also ice skating under the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.

Edinburgh Fringe Festival: on this course you can improve your English by taking part in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as a performer!  SSC has its own show in the Edinburgh Fringe, “Culture Internationale.”  You can practise your English by taking part in this show.  You would put on a small show that presents aspects of your own language and culture to small international audiences.  For example, you could teach a little of your own language in a fun way, play a tradional instrument or dance a traditional dance from your home country, or put on an art exhibition…The possibilities are endless.
